Dying Little Princess Surrenders Crown After Her Birthday Ball, And Everyone is in Tears
What could be a better way to celebrate a dying little girl’s life than an actual Princess Ball for what could be her last birthday.
Lila May Schow is a sweet little girl from Hood River, Oregon, USA, but she’s not all cute and sweet.
Lila May The Fighter
This young, sweet, little girl had fought against Neuroblastoma Cancer for 3 years, but after the doctors declared her condition terminal and that there was nothing left to make her better, the community reached out to Lila’s parents and offered help.
They asked about what they can actually do for the courage Lila May showed to the whole community. Just in time, her fifth birthday is coming up.
Heidi Hall, Lila May’s mother, thought that it would be such a great idea to throw her a birthday ball. The community responded affirmative and gathered all their resources. People started to donate money for the party’s budget, and they were required to put on a princess’ costume.
Upon hearing from the doctors that it is surely going to be Lila’s last birthday, an event organizer took the initiative to arrange the ball, for free! Majestic decorations were set up at her Royal Birthday Ball, and to top it all off, a red throne awaited the little girl.
For her grand entrance, she arrived in a beautiful carriage, together with other little princesses. The convoy was escorted by the local police, of course.
The tears started to roll up after the arrival of the princess when she shouted “Daddy!” in front of her two fathers.
Both Ryan Schow, Lila’s biological father, and Blake Hall, step-dad, escorted the young princess to her royal ball.
What the party is all about
The birthday ball is not only a celebration of Lila May’s 5th birthday but also a feast for her life. It is also to celebrate her courageousness, that by 5, she had battled out cancer for several years! The community let Lila experience the things she could never experience at all, a prom and a wedding.
During the ball, her two dads danced her, first by Ryan, then followed by Blake. Blake even kneeled down as if he was proposing to Lila.
Princess surrenders crown
Despite the long battle against cancer, Lila May’s body gave up weeks after the grand ball. She passed away with a memory that means more than a lifetime. Lila May’s family was so happy that their little princess was able to experience the life of a royalty before she surrendered the crown.
