BACOLOD, Philippines-  “Mark John”, a baby boy from Bacolod born without a penis was brought to a specialist.

His condition is called penile agenesis which occurs once in every 5 to 6 million male births.

In a report by ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda, the doctors revealed that there had been problems in his chromosome development while he was still in the womb of his mother. Because of this, his penis did not develop.

Currently, the boy, who underwent surgery to make way for a urinary outlet, is under observation.

According to his doctors, a penis graft may be done to Mark John outside the country. However, he still needs to be observed for a year before undergoing the procedure.

In 2013, Andrew Wardle, a British man born without a penis, made headlines after he revealed that he had slept with over 100 women despite his condition.

He explained: “Ladies love me because I was completely non-threatening to them.

“I used my charm and insecurities to get them into bed. Many of my girlfriends became best friends rather than lovers, ” Wardle added.

Wardle is now facing a brighter future after specialists at University College London gave him an opportunity to have a fully functional penis.

In the groundbreaking procedure, his penis will be grafted from the skin on his arm.

“I still can’t believe it is possible for me to actually have a fully functioning penis. I’ve got a long road ahead of me – they told me that after a year, and quite a few operations, I’ll have a penis that works the same way as any other man’s.”
